Great service from Martin who is the owner of this company. Had a few problems last Friday/Saturday - which he has now put right. We had a car from our house to Wimbledon Theatre yesterday afternoon - the driver turned up on time. Car was clean and tidy - driver was - friendly and very professional. We will certainly be using Melville car hire again and will pass on their details to family and friends. REMEMBER - if there is ever a problem/ or you would like to praise this company - please give feed as it is always helpful and can then be built upon and or put right.
We have been customers of Melville cars for a number of years and always found the service very good - On Friday 21 February at 8pm we were picked up from Hillview Road and taken to Joe the Ginger Italian restaurant in Carshalton. Unfortunately - eiother whilst I was in the taxi or when I got out - I managed to loose a set of keys. I duly rang the controller on Saturday who was extremely unhelpful. He told me that if keys had been found - they would have been handed into the office. I rang again and asked if it was possible to ring the driver - just in case he hadnt seen the keys. Again controller very unhelpful - did promise to contact the driver and get back to me - this didnt happen. I am not so worried about the keys - but the elephant holder is very preciious to me personally. We will not be using Melville again. It also takes for every to get an answer to phone calls - are you so busy that you are not answering calls - my son rang yesterday and was on hold for 20 minutes. There are plenty of car hire businesses people can use - and of course UBER are very good too. I would appreciate a call back. If l could give zero l would, booked and paid £45.50 after discounts for taxi through minicabit, only to receive text from Melville cars confirming booking and quoting price of £60, phoned them querying the price to be told its Christmas day and prices are doubled, with the attitude of take it or leave it. Well, l left it and booked through another company who charged £45.00. It amazes me how taxi companies charge double because it's Christmas. I too work Christmas, Boxing and New Years day at no extra charge.
I went to airport last week Friday,driver came on time picked me up,driver siva is friendly helpful me and dropped on time. Very good service thanks for melville.

Seriously seriously disappointed, I booked a cab to pick me up from a supermarket, I’m disabled, have two small children and a trolley (that Won’t work outside of the shop) full of shopping, the driver rang me and asked if I could go outside and meet at another location because of the cues to get in the car park, I explained I couldn’t and he would have to come up, over half an hour later I rang to see where he was, the controller was flirty rude to me, he said that the cab wasn’t coming and it was my fault because I should have left the shop, I said that wasn’t good enough and he said I’ll send another, Because by this point I’ve waited for an hour and a half I decided to make other arrangements, I rang the cab firm back up and said I’ve decided I don’t want to give you my money and wanted to make a formal complaint and he hung up on me 😡😡 trouble isn’t I’ve been a customer with melivile for years, and I know the owners and I’m pretty sure they will be fuming at the way their staff have treated customers but because that controller is screening my calls now I had to leave this review instead. So disappointed.

having complained about poor service in March I now find the service much improved. they turn up promptly , cabs are clean and drivers are friendly and helpful

I booked a cab from Heathrow airport to Sutton 3 weeks in advance via the online booking system provided by Melville Cars. I received a confirmation email - all seems to be OK. My flight was in time and I was waiting at the airport for the driver. Nobody arrived and after 30 minutes I called Melville Cars. They haven´t taken care of my booking!!! The excuse was that the office is not equiped for online booking. Unbeliveable - better use public transport or walk instead of using this company. Never again
I have always had excellent service and as I havebeen on crutches the drivers have been very helpful
Melville take me to The Sutton Arms every Saturday night. Brilliant customer service and very professional.
